Database-Powered Defense

Structured organization of motions, legal arguments, and reusable language.

Simplify Updates

When templates are stored in folders, updates are hard to track and easy to miss. If the law changes, attorneys must manually revise each file or remember to fix them later. Database changes in CrimLawDocs are made once and instantly apply to every new document automatically.

Court Information

CrimLawDocs keeps court, judge, and prosecutor information in one shared location. When updates are made, like a newly elected judge or hired prosecutor, changes are immediately reflected in every new document created for your entire office.

Frequently Asked Questions

Document automation software uses a database to store reusable text and information that can be quickly retrieved and assembled into documents. CrimLawDocs organizes motion templates, legal arguments, court information, and contact details in a structured database system. This approach speeds up document drafting, ensures consistency across documents, and reduces errors that commonly occur when copying and pasting from older files.

CrimLawDocs doesn't store client or case information. When you enter case details or import them from a file, this information exists only for your current session and is immediately discarded after document generation. All your office data (templates, arguments, court information) is private and accessible only to users within your organization. You maintain full control with comprehensive backup options that allow you to export your content at any time.

No, CrimLawDocs generates templates that must be finalized and reviewed by attorneys. While the system significantly reduces cutting and pasting time by combining legal arguments and information from your database, human judgment remains essential. All generated documents should be thoroughly reviewed by an attorney before filing or distribution, as the attorney remains ultimately responsible for the content.

Yes, CrimLawDocs can quickly import case and client information. Users can either click "Load Case Info" in the menu, or simply drag and drop a case info file directly onto the Case Info box. Imported case information is never stored in the system, it only exists during your current session and is immediately discarded after document generation. After importing, you can verify all imported values using the "View All Fields" preview before generating documents.

Office administrators invite attorneys by email and manage user accounts through the Administrator Page. Each attorney can customize their signature preferences and contact information after logging in. Administrators also manage all content including motion arguments, letter templates, subpoenas, judge information, and prosecutor details. Regular users can request changes through the "Request Change" button, which directs them to the office's designated contact. All changes made by administrators are immediately available to all users.

Yes, setup assistance is available for an additional fee. This includes helping load information into the system, configuring templates, and initial training. Contact us for details about these services. Alternatively, the system is designed to be managed entirely by your office administrators, who have full control over adding and organizing content in the database. Documentation is also available within the system to assist with setup and usage.

No, there are no cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time and export all your data for local storage or transfer to another system. The comprehensive backup feature allows you to download a complete copy of your templates, arguments, and settings.

CrimLawDocs works best with Microsoft Word desktop applications. The system generates .docx template files that are fully compatible with desktop Word. While these templates may also work with Google Docs and Word Online, some formatting differences may occur in online editors. For best results, use desktop versions of Microsoft Word for reviewing and finalizing documents.
